Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the 2018 Mazda6
Every year, infotainment systems in cars get better and better, and that includes systems like the MAZDA CONNECT™ found in all modern Mazda models. Many Mazda fans have been asking when they can get new features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the 2018 Mazda6 and other Mazda models. For the Mazda6 at least, that wait will soon be over.
Mazda6 Apple CarPlay and Android Auto?
As of this writing, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not included on any Mazda model, but that is set to change for the Mazda6. Starting in November, all 2018 Mazda6 Touring models and higher trims will come with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard equipment.

This means that you can get the connectivity features that you want on the sedan that you love. The trims that come standard with these new features include the Touring as well as the Grand Touring, Grand Touring Reserve, and the Signature trim.
How to get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
What if you already own a 2018 Mazda6 model or if you were planning on buying one soon? You have nothing to worry about. Not only do you still get to enjoy the wonderful MAZDA CONNECT™ infotainment system, but starting in September, you will be able to upgrade to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
That’s right, as long as you have a Touring trim or higher, you can get 2018 Mazda6 upgraded at your local Mazda dealership starting in September. Along with the upgrade, you will also get an upgraded USB port for faster phone charging. This upgrade comes free of charge. Remember to schedule your appointment when September rolls around.
