With Summer approaching, finding ways to escape the heat is on everyone’s mind. And one of the best ways to cool off during the summer is by dipping into one of the pools in the Fond du Lac area. When does Taylor Park Pool open in 2016?
Location: 380 Emma St. in Fond du Lac
Today is actually the first day that Taylor Park Pool will be open for 2016! Taylor Park Pool will stay open June 11 through August 21, 2016. It’s open daily from 11:30 am to 6:00 pm, but it has different sections designating when it is used for adult lap swimming and when it’s open swim. Take a look below at the daily breakdown:
11:30 am to 12:45 pm — Adult Lap Swim
1:00 pm to 4:00 pm — Open Swim
4:15 pm to 6:00 pm — Adult Lap Swim
On Wednesday and Saturday Taylor Park Pool stays open an additional two hours with another open swim from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm — but there will be no evening swim on August 17 and the 20. Pricing tiers are broken down into Afternoon and Evening hours, but you can also buy a season pass if you’re planning on attending a lot this summer!
Youth/Senior — $2.50/$1.50
Adult (18-54) — $3.50/$2.00
Adult Swim Lap — $2.50/Session (need to re-pay for open swim)
When does Fairgrounds Family Aquatic Center Open in 2016?
Location: 439 Martin Ave in Fond du Lac
The Fairgrounds Aquatic Center in Fond du Lac will be opening one day later on June 12 and finishes for the year on August 14. It is also open daily from noon to 8:00 pm (Wednesdays start at 11:00 am, but you can’t use the slides). There is also a daily Lifeguard break from 4:15 to 5:00 pm where the pool closes, but the facility remains open. Pricing breakdown is again broken down between afternoon and evening (5:00 pm):
Youth/Senior — $4.00/$2.50
Adult (18-54) — $5.00/$3.50
