First, we should talk a little about what these two models have in common. On the exterior, they look nearly the same as both come with the same gorgeous 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels and both have the same 7 exterior color options available. Under the hood, both models come with the wonderful 2.5-liter 187-horsepower engine that’s good for 25-city mpg and 31 highway mpg. If you upgrade to AWD, which is an option on both trims, then you still get 24-city mpg and 30-highway mpg.

What does the Grand Touring trim add?
In addition to what you see in the chart above, the Grand Touring trim also adds navigation, a power rear liftgate, a power moonroof, and heated side mirrors. Combine that with the improved seating and entertainment, and you have a convenient and luxurious package at the Grand Touring level.
Though the Touring trim already has LED headlights, the Grand Touring adds LED daytime running lights, LED fog lights, and LED combination taillights along with an adaptive front lighting system that allows your headlights to turn and follow the road. Headlights in your rearview also won’t be a problem with the auto-dimming rearview mirror that the Grand Touring adds.
Touring and Grand Touring features
Though the Grand Touring is more luxurious, the Touring is no slouch either. Outside of what we previously mentioned, both trim levels employ features and conveniences such as dual-zone automatic climate control, auto on/off headlights, rain-sensing wipers, Mazda advanced keyless entry, Mazda radar cruise control, lane departure warning, high beam control, and more!
