The Mazda3 is available with two body styles, and both are equally as attractive. You can choose between a sensible 4-door sedan or a sporty 5-door hatchback.
Both body styles offer largely the same feature set, though the sedan is a little more affordable and offers slightly better fuel economy whereas the hatchback offers more cargo room. The choice is yours.
For 2018, the Mazda3 actually has two wonderful engine options available. The 2.0-liter engine comes standard on the base Sport trim and provides 155 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque.
If you want more power, then the 2.5-liter engine option that comes standard on the Touring and Grand Touring is what you need. It produces 184 horsepower and 185 pound-feet of torque.
With Mazda SKYACTIV® TECHNOLOGY automatic versions of the Mazda3 can get up to 37-highway mpg and 28-city mpg. The 2.5-liter engine can get up to 27-city mpg and 36-highway mpg.
With the Mazda3, all trim levels, engines, and body styles are also available with a manual transmission. This transmission can increase your fuel economy up to 38-highway mpg in the sedan.
The Mazda3 comes with an infotainment system standard across all trim levels. It’s called MAZDA CONNECT™, and it's easy to use with both a touchscreen interface and intuitive center console controls.
The Mazda infotainment system is easy to interact with and with the standard rear-view camera, it will show you what’s behind your car any time you're in reverse.
With the standard 7-inch MAZDA CONNECT™ infotainment screen, you also get a huge number of entertainment options including standard Bluetooth and an auxiliary audio jack.
At the Grand Touring trim level, you get a Bose® 9-speaker sound system along with SiriusXM satellite radio. With all these entertainment options, every commute will be a joy.
Mazda knows how to make cars that are not just appealing, but are also built with quality, instilled with features, equipped with technology, and are simply a blast to drive.
